REQUEST FOR INCORPORATION IN SOVIET. Received July 30, 9.25 p.m. MOSCOW, July 30. The radio announced that the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian Parliamentary delegations of 20 members each had arrived in Moscow. They were attending a meeting of the Soviet Supreme Council on August 1. when they would present a request for incorporation in the Soviet. CREDIT BALANCES HELD IN LONDON SOVIET PROTEST TO BRITAIN Received July 3, 7.20 p.m. LONDON, July 29. The Soviet Ambassador in London, M. Maisky, has protested to Britain against the freezing of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian London balances. Russia alleges that the Baltic States asked for the British release of credits three days before seeking incorporation in the Soviet.
U.S. NATIONAL GUARD PRESIDENT SEEKS POWERS Received Julv 30. 6.5 p.m. WASHINGTON, July 29. President Roosevelt has made a formal request to Congress for authority to call out the National Guard for extended training as part of the defence programme.
