MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. A further practice shoot was fired this week when, with a possible of 90, some fair scores were registered. Numerous new members were present and the club should be stronger than ever this year. Scores were: G. King 89, S. Holmes 88, C. Baldwin 86, R. Travers 85, H. Goile 85, P. Woon 85, C. Young 84, W .Strachan 83, J. Matthews 83, M. Baker 80, J. Luff 79, J. Kelly 78, P. Burke 78, T. Walsh 77, S. Trott 76, W. Brennan 75, W. Davy 73, C. Denne 73, S. Neilson 70, M. G. Wilson 69, J. Mackintosh 68, J. Luff junr. 66. The first shoot for the G. Lishman trophy will be fired next week, and with it the championship aggregate, Hanan Cup points, and teams’ buttons match will commence. GOLF CULB. It was reported at the committee meeting that course improvements and flood damage repairs were well under way, so opening day was fixed for Saturday, April 20, as advertised. Match day was fixed as Saturday, and a tee-up rule is to operate for the first month of play. Large working parties have been busy and the course should be in first-class condition for this season.
