On Saturday evening last the Ohi- i f ngaiti Miniature Rille Club brought to a close a very successful season by x holding a small social evening for members and friends where trophies t for season were presented. In Lhe absence of the club's patron J (Mr. W. N. Watson), who was un- j avoidably unable to be present, Mr. 11. W. McGucken, president, presided • over the gathering. Apologies for absence were received . £ from vice-presidents, Mr. J. Goodwin i and Mr. L. F. Jones- : The evening commenced with a' 1 toast to “The King’’ (proposed by Mr. C 11. McGuckin) this being followed by, 10 minutes' community sing. Various ■' other toasts were honoured. "The ' J Club" proposed by Mr. G. Mackie; ' • ■ “The Ladies" proposed by Mr. J.
