VISITORS’ DAY Wanganui Centre Activities ■ EXCHANGE OF VISITS SATURDAY’S RESULTS Saturday was ‘'Visitors’ Day" at the I various Wanganui Bowling Centre 1 greens, and representative rinks i visited the respective greens to play - friendly games. The weather was fine 1 and some very enjoyable games were s played, lhe visiting rinks meeting i with a fair measure of success. I t ST. JOHN’S CLUB I Visiting day was observed by the St. John’s Club on Saturday, when rinks from Wanganui, Wanganui East, Gonville, Victoria, and Cosmopolitan j Clubs were present. Rinks from St. John’s visited the three former clubs ’ and also Marton. The president, Mr. H. S. Harris, briefly welcomed the visitors, and Mr. IT. C. Price, vice-president of the Wanganui Club, replied on behalf of -L the visitors. Both speakers referred, ■ in terms of warm appreciation, to the r inter-club friendly games programme 1 being arranged by the centre. The ■ afternoon was rather cold but the “ greens were playing very well and '• everyone seemed lo enjoy “visiting L ’ day" on lhe St. John’s green. GONVILLE CLUB GOOD ATTENDANCE OF PLAYERS Although the weather was not ideal there was a good muster of players on the Gonville green, where the sociability of visitors' day was thoroughly enjoyed.
