SATURDAY’S GALLOPS CANDIDATES FOR TRENTHAM AND WAVERLEY A smart gallop by the Wellesley Stakes candioate Kingcraft was one ol ' the features of the training operations on the Wanganui tracks on Saturday! morning, when the fast work was done on number one track, wh.ch was. very fast. The weather was fine aftei the previous day’s rain. 'rhe Ringmaster gelding was the lirst to galop, and with the lightweight L. Jackson in the saddle and close in against the rails he slipped over four furlongs in 49sec., though some watches made it faster. Ringcraft “broke" 24sec. for the initial two furlongs. He has yet, to make his debut in public, though he had a run with the colours up in Hie first division of the two-year-old parade at Wanganui, leading all the way. Submission (E. Ludlow) followed her .stablemate, but she was wider out on the track, and her live furlongs m J min. 2 3-ssec. was a. pleasing eiforl. Ludlow) was moving along smoothly in a. fairly easy upm over six furlongs, taking Imin. s;>ec over the last live. She is lo luilil her Trentham engagements and will be ridden by N. R. McKenzie in the Wainui Handicap on Thursday. Golden Hawk was sent over lour furlongs but was not lutly extended . to register 50 4-ssec. for the distance. He is in the Wilson Highweight at Waverley on the minimum. War Lap was hitting out freely in a half-mile spin which took him a shade over 51sec. His next, appearancewill probably be at the Stratford meeting next month. Uveaale, who will not be taken through to Trentham owing lo soreness, was let oil with an easy lasK. He did not have much pace on the first time over the two obstacles in the straight, but the second time he fenced cleanly. > However, he appeared to be rather sore afterwards.

JOCKEY’S BROKEN LEG ACCIDENT AT CAULFIELD Received Oct. 15, 7.5 p.m. MELBOURNE. Oct. 15. The apprentice Ron Hall suffered a broken leg as.a result of a street accident at Caulfield on Saturday.
