Some weeks ago, Mr. Phillip Hollaway, who has just been appointed general organ! e. . addressed a very representative me ting of c.t zen> a. the Friends’ School, Wanganui, and a;; a result a provisional c mm.ttec has been set up. This committee has asked Mr. Hoißway to address a publicmeeting early in August. Mr. Holloway, who is an eloquent speaker, has had first-hand experience in reiugee work both in England and Europe, and has a thorougn kn wvlcdge of la_ difliculties and urgency of tne work. After the public meeting it is the intention of the provisional committee to elect permanent officers anu committee m n in Wanganui, in the meantime those who have consented to act. are Mr.;.. S. A.
