An example of bad driving, creating : risk to other road user.;, was given on Sunday. A party was motoring to Wanganui from Kai Iwi. A car came in behind and at the top of the Goat Valley hil], on a three-quarter bend, it proceeded to pass the vehicle in front. To do that it had to swing out on to its incorrect side and blocked the road to approaching traffic. No sooner . had the car passed than two other : cars approached from the opposite direction. It was just a matter of L luck that the offending vehicle got through in time. Had it been closer to the vehicle it overtook and passed on the bend, four vehicles, containing in all 12 persons, would have been involved in a collision. But the strange thing was, that, notwithstanding a lucky escape, the offending driver took the next corner, a three-quarter bend to the left, and once again moved our to his incorrect side of the road on the bend to overtake another car. In doing so the offender blocked another ' corner to approaching traffic, but on this occasion got through vvithQUt ’ meeting any oncoming cars.
