PATEA MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Maihi Te Puaka was convicted and fined 10s for being found drunk in Egmont Street, Patea, on Friday last by Mr. E. F. Hemingway, J.P., in the Patea Court on Saturday. Constable Smith gave evidence and accused did not appear. MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING Last Tuesday marked the closing of the P.M.R.C. season. The club were fortunate in having a visiting team from the local banks, who put up a very able and creditable performance, the club defeating them by 35 points. Top score of 69 went to J. Bates. The following were the selected teams:—Bank: C. Beauchamp 49, W Quist 71, J. Boyle 32, J. Bargrove 70, G. Francis 68, J. Rowan 47, R. McRae 59; total. 396. Club: N. Coad 53, T. Floyd 69, D. Glenny 63, A. Bond 65, L. Neilson 63, E. Willis 59, H. Bond 61; total, 431. The club, in concluding their season’s activities, desire to express their appreciaticfri to all who have assisted to make the season so prosperous for the club, and it is hoped next season to have many more evenings of true sport, and look forward to seeing any interested pay a visit to the range.
