WOMEN’S INSTITUTES

MOSSTON MEETING There was a fair attendance of members at the May meeting of the Mosston Women’s Institute, presided over by the vice-president, Mrs Franklin. Following the singing of the institute song a welcome was extended to all present. Two much-enjoyed items were given by the institute singing circle. Arrangements were made for the social to be held this week and for an afternoon entertainment for the first Thursday in June. The points prizes were: —Thrift article, Miss Kincaid 1, Mrs Stillborn 2, Mrs Tipper 3; sausage rolls, Mrs Bell 1, Mrs Denman 2. Mrs Tipper 3. A very dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Billinghurst, Brodie and Bell. The singing of the National Anthem i brought a happy meeting to a close.
