HUNT AT WAVERLEY
SATURDAY’S MEET Good weather prevailed for Ihe Eg-mont-Wanganui Hunt Club’s meet a “Gowan Lea’’ on Saturday, when I here was a large attendance of followers. The hounds were working well and the Held was constantly on the move with an abundance of jumping. The hares were plentiful, but after the throw-off by Mr S. Aiken’s homestead, there were a few short runs before a long chase resulted in a kill. A largo number cf interested onlookers in cars witnessed some fine jumping from lhe many points of vantage afforded them in this meet. At the conclusion the master (Dr. Simmons) called for three cheers for the property owners, Messrs Aiken Bros., Watkins, Lupton, Scott, Belton, Walkinton. Among the followers were: Master (Dr. W. T.
