MELBOURNE STUDENT’S DEATH Received April 20, 12.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, April 19. Overcome by a blizzard on Mount Hotham to-day, Laurence Galbraith, aged 29, lecturer in civil engineering at the University of Melbourne, was dead when found by a rescue party He was engaged in an Easter hike through the Alps, where violent storms have been experienced during the last few days. Galbraith had had a brilliant career at the engineering school of the University, which he entered as a freshman in 1925.
