Although a widespread search was continued to-day, a prisoner at Wai- ; keria institute, Te Awamutu, Colin • William Glass, who escaped from cus- ' tody on Monday, was still at liberty at a late hour to-night. This is the second time upon which Glass has escaped during his sentence, the previous occasion being from Auckland Prison in December, 1934. He then enjoyed a week of liberty before being arrested near Pukekohe.
