Hundreds of seamen were involved in a street fight between members of Mr. Harry Bridges’ International Longshoremen’s Union and the Inde-; pendent Sailors’ Union. The trouble started when members j of Mr. Bridges’ faction charged pickets | guarding the pier gates. The police broke up the battle after i 40 had been injured.
