INTER-SCHOOL MATCH

TAIHAPE DEFEAT MARTON

The inter-school cricket match betwen the Taihape and Marton District, High Schools resulted in a victory fori Taihape by 74 runs. The match wasi played at Taihape. The home team; batted first and made 124 runs, Smith , 37, Barclay 26, Bader 19, being the 1 chief run-getters. Marton replied I with 62 runs, McLeod 37, being the ■ only batsman to make a stand.
