MOAWHANGO DOG TRIALS ’ The Moawhango Collie Club will hold their annual dog trials on Mt Batiey’s property at Moawhango or Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week (April 6, 7 and 8). CLAIM FOR DAMAGES MOTOR COLLISION CASE The sequel to a motor collision that occurred a few miles south of Utiku on August 28 last, was heard in the Taihape Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, when B. Rush, of Palmerston North, claimed £l7 6s damages from B. Managh, timber merchant, of Matamata, to cover the cost of repairs to plaintiff’s car. Plaintiff alleged that the accident was due to negligence on the part of defendant. Managh denied that he was in any way negligent, and attributed the collision to a pure accident on a narrow stretch of road.

After hearing evidence and upon returning from the scene of the accident, the magistrate gave judgment for plaintiff. PERSONAL Mrs. Nell Collerton, of Taihape, will leave shortly to reside in edin. Her many friends will always be interested to hear cf her golfing career in the South Island. MAGISTRATE’S COURT. DAIRY COMPANY CASE DISMISSED. The Inspector of Factories (Mr. H. A. Gatward) proceeded against the Taihape Co.-operative Dairy Co. Ltd., at the Taihape Magistrate’s Court on Thursday on a charge of employing one, Vera Ross, in the factor*- cn Sunlay, December 12, 11.17. Mr. T. C. Kincaid appeared for the companv and submitic I that certain evidcn'c :pvrn by the inspc.lor was inadmissible. Counsci further conlcnded that there was abso.mely no evidence against the company ami asked that the information be dismissed. The magistrme agreed with Mr. Kincaid and dismissed the case. GENERAL NEWS. ‘■Some farmers dip their sheep without using poisonous dip,” remarked the stock inspector (Mr. C. W.
