PERSONAL The many friends of Mr. Henry Pritchard will be sorry to learn that he is an inmate of the Hunterville Public Hospital, and hope that he wifi make a speedy recovery from his illness. MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB The annual meeting of the Chingaiti Miniature Rifle Club was held in the hall on Wednesday, March 30. After discussion, it was decided that the club commence activities. The meeting was presided over by Mr. W. L. Martyn, president. The following officers were elected for the coming season:—Patron. Mr. X. C. B. Munro; president, Mr. W. L. Martyn; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Watson, J. Trevena, R. A. Gower, J. Goodman, R. Worsfield, H. C. Lower; secretary and treasurer, Mr. T. M. Mercer; committee, Messrs. T. L. Hammond, O. Foote, A. C. Lower, H. Pritchard; handicapper, Mr. W. L. Martyn; range officer, Mr. O. Foote. It was agreed that the first shoot should be held on Wednesday, April 14, and that a “working bee’’ be arranged as soon as possible. The annual subscription was again fixed at ss, plus 3d per member each shoot night. In addition to the two handsome trophies (the Munro Rose Bowl ana the Martyn Cup) now possessed by the club, a medal for the championship was presented by Mr. T. L. Hammond. also a trophy for competition by Mr. R. Worsfold. The opening night will take the form of a sweepstake shoot, also the president is giving a small trophy for the best shoot by any new member on the opening night. It will be seen that the club has many trophies to offer its members, especially the young shots, so a good membership is expected.
