CONSIDERABLE PROGRESS MADE [ British Official Wireless.] RUGBY', Dec. 17. The Commissioner for the Special Areas reports considerable progress with the development of the northeastern trading estate near Gateshead, where 28 factories have been completed, of which 26 are occupied. Twenty-three are in the course of erection and 17 further tenancies have been definitely arranged. Four factories are occupied and 15 are being built at the Treforest Estate, near Cardiff. The Commissioners total commit merits to the end of November for grants to assist industry, land settlement, the public health scheme, and other grants aggregate £13,399,000.
