WEDDINGS ABROAD
CAVENDISH—PHARAZYN A NEW ZEALAND BRIDE LONDON, Oct. 9. At Brompton Oratory, this afternoon, Geoffrey Manners Cavendish, son of the late Mr Tyrell Cavendish and Mrs Cavendish, of Crakemarsh Hall, Ottoxeter, Staffordshire, was married to Cecilia Frances Patricia Pharazyn, daughter of Mr and Mrs Godfrey Pharazyn, of Dannevirke, states a London correspondent. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful dress of parchment velvet, made in medieval style, with a silver girdle. A tiarashaped head-dress of orange blossom held in place the tulle veil, which was trimmed at the edge with orangeflower wreaths. She carried a spray of miniature lilies. Immediately following were four tiny pages, dressed in cream silk. They were Richard Westmacott and Peter Fharazyn (nephews of the bride) and her cousins, Michael Holmes and Wil liam Barton Goring. The four bridesmaids were Miss Kathleen Cameron, of Glendhu, Wairarapa, Miss Betty Bragg, of Hawkchurch, Devon, Miss Nancy Fieldhouse, of Shipton Manor, Andoversford, Gloucester, and Miss Ann Grenshields, of Malpas, Cheshire. They wore dresses of a beautiful deep cyclamen shade of velvet, with lace collars and plaited velvet head-dresses of the same colour. Each carried a spray bouquet of pink tiger lilies and mauve scabious. The bridegroom’s brother, Mr Henry S. Cavendish, was best man, and the groomsmen were Mr David Pharazyn, Mr J. de Breton Hammond, Mrs Charles Hall, Mr Leslie Pritchard, Mr Tony Carter, Mr Colin
