BLOMFIELD BEATEN

WORLD CHALLENGE MATCH TERRIFIC PUNCHES AND JOLTS [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 13. In a terrific barrage of jolts and punches, Woods beat Blomfield in a world challenge elimination wrestling bout this evening by two falls to one. The contest was hectic for six and ahalf rounds, both maintaining a tremendous pace. After three rounds of jolting and punching, Woods hurled Blomfield across the ring twice, then dropped him in a heavy dump for a fall. Blomfield threw Woods over the ropes in the sixth round before rushing in with a flying trip, from whicn he rapidly developed an octopus clamp, Woods submitting quickly. The end came in the seventh round when Blomfield had Woods groggy. The latter released a barrage of tremendous jolts, the last of which sent Blomfield flying through the ropes. He was unable to return and had to be assisted away.
