RED POLL CATTLE SALE
The seventh annual sale of stud Red Poll cattle was held by Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., at the Feilding saleyards on October 6. Buyers were in attendance from the Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Wanganui, Wairarapa and Manawatu districts. While the entry was not as large as usual the cattle came forward showing a general all-round improvement in type, quality and condition on previous year’s consignments. In the yearling bulls, J. M. Campbell and A. E. Anderson tied for the highest priced two bulls at 20 guineas. In the two-year bulls L. C. Anderson’s nice quality and well brought out “Parihauhau Gay Rajah,” realised the top price of the sale at 37gns. Realisations were as follows:

Anderson, Feilding, “Tutamai Avenger” at 9gns to J. Thom, Havelock North; “Tutamai Bojum,” at 20gns. to P. W. Matthews, Pahiatua; “Tutamai Club” at to W. A. and W. L. Bailey, Mangaweka. On account of E, F. Cousins, Colyton, “Hiamoe Elegant” at 15gns. to J. Thom; “Riamoe Dusky” at 12gns. to G. Farrow, Pahiatua. On account of D. F. McLeod, Taumarunui, “Opatu No. 93,” at 15gns. to W. E. Bowen; “Opatu No. 99” at 17gns. to H. Holland, Bulls.
Two-year Bulls—On account of L. C. Anderson, Wanganui, “Parihauhau Gay Savage,” at 25gns. for export to the Fijian Government; “Parihauhau Gay Rajah,” at 3Jgns. to E. Waldron, Waipukurau. On account of W. Lancelot Miles., Taumarunui, an unregistered bull at 15Lgns. to Mrs H. H. Gripp, Raetihi. On account of D. F. McLeod, “Opatu No. 82” at 18gns. to J. E.
