THE MARTON SALE. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report a small yarding of sheep and a good entry of cattle and pigs came forward at the above sale yesterday. Dairy heifers again sold well. Good Jersey bulls were in demand; pigs showed an easing tendency compared with previous sales. However, we disposed of the whole yarding as fellows:— Fat b.f. hoggets, 27s 3d to 295; smaller ditto, 18s sd; good dairy heifers at drop, £7 15s to £8; others £6 5s to £6 12s 6d; yearling Jersey heifers, £4 14s to £4 17s; fat cows, ex dairy, good, £6 13s; medium ditto, £4 14s 6d to £5 14s; lighter sorts, £3 14s; 3-year pedigree Jersey bull, 12agns.; aged ditto, £7; yearling ditto, good, £6 6s to £8 8s; 2-year ditto, £4 10s to £4 14s; weaner pigs, good, 23s to 24s 6d; medium ditto, 18s to 20s; smaller, 12s to 15s 6d; very small, 9s to 10s; slips, 20s; light porkers, 30s; breeding sows, £2.
