MINER FOUND DEAD

RETURNED SOLDIERS END SUFFERED FROM WAR INJURIES [ Per Press Association. ] Edgar Hastings Cambridge, aged 48, a goldminer, was found dead in his hut, at Gladstone, early on Saturday evening. The deceased suffered from war disabilities aed was subject to frequent heart attacks. An inquest may be necessary. Mr Cambridge was a member of the Australian Royal Engineers and was present at the Gallipoli landing, later joining the British Royal Flying Corps. He was discharged in 1920 with the rank of flight-captain. VA brother is master of the Melanesian mission ship. Southern Cross VH. Another brother resides at Omarama and it is thought that the deceased’s mother resides in Auckland.
