DELIGHTFUL DANCE NUMBERS
A delightful dance interlude was presented by some of the little pupils of Miss Gwenn O’Mahony, at the Regent Theatre on Saturday afternoon. A pirate ballet strikingly costumed in black satin shorts, orange skirts, scarlet sashes and realistic skull and crossbones, was the opening number followed b$ Joyce Caldwell, a tiny tot, arrayed in scarlet skirt, clogs, and shawl, who sang and danced delightfully “A Lass from Lancashire.” Little Helen Wilson made a realistic Shirley Temple in her number, “Good Ship Lollipop,” in blue and white satin sailor suit and pork pie cap. Freda Jones gave a spirited rendering of the Sailors’ Hornpipe, in white silk kilt with navy collar and cuffs. "Dance My Way to Heaven” ballet was a snappy number frocked in royal blue satin backless frocks with blue bows on hair and shoes. Members of the ballets were Moya Trott, Delma Kate, Freda Jones, Lorna Sagieson, Pearl Dunden, Ngaira Kate, and Joyce Caldwell.
