DAMAGES SOUGHT
ACCIDENT TO PILLION RIDER | [ I’er Prc.js Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Nov. 25. Damages amounting to £476 13s j were sought in a Supreme Court , action against Harold Muir, journal- , ist, and his wife, for injuries suffered ( by Mrs. Jean Cartwright Fletcher, , pillion rider on a motor-cycle, struck j by the car driven by Mrs. Muir. Negligence of failing to koep a proper . lookout was alleged and failure to , manage the car with due care and skill. Mrs. Fletcher was in hospital for 122 days. The defence is a general denial, and it was further added by amendment that the accident was due to negligence of the motor-cyclist in overtaking and passing the car on the near side and on an intersection.
