Mason asking for clemency in the case of Thomas Curran, who was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment by Mr Wyvern Wilson, on Friday last on a charge of bookmaking. Word was received in Auckland today that the Minister has requested the magistrate to submit a report before consideration can be given to the petition.
