I PETITION FOR CLEMENCY I I 1 1’er l*r-»s Amociation) AUCKLAND, Nov. 24. j A petition containing 10,000 signatories has been forwarded to the Hon. H. R. Mason asking for clemency in the case of Thomas Curran, who was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment by Mr Wyvern Wilson, on Friday last on a charge of bookmaking. Word was received in Auckland today that the Minister has requested the magistrate to submit a report before consideration can be given to the petition.
