LONDON TO THE CAPE

LLEWELLYN TO TRY PRESTIGE OF BRITISH AIRCRAFT CAPETOWN, Oct. 16. Messrs. D. Llewellyn and C. Fs Hughesdon, who crashed near Lake Tanganyika in the Johannesburg air race, have left for London by steamer. “I strongly feel that the result of the race has given a misleading impression of the reliability of British airciaft which I am determined to wipe out,” said Mr. Llewellyn, "therefore Mr. Hughesdon and I plan at attempt within a month a return flight from London to Capetown in four days.” The Percival Vega Gull machine piloted by Mr. Llewellyn raced neck and neck with that of the winner, Mr. C. W. A. Scott, towards the concluding stages of the race, and promised a very interesting finish.
