Ei&NCH FORMED AT MARTON RANGITIKEI ELECTORATE (Own Correspondent). MARTON, Oct. 13. A record attendance was registered at the Druids’ Hall, Marton, this evening at the meeting called for the purpose of forming a branch in Marton for the Rangitikei electorate of the N.Z. National Party. Mr. E. B. Gordon, chairman, introduced Mr. T. G. Wilkes, divisional organiser of the party, who traversed the trend of politics in New Zealand for the past 25 years. Mr. Wilkes also explained the aims and objects of the new party, and was heartily applauded at the conclusion of a most interesting and instructive address. A strong committee was elected to further the interests of the party in the Rangitikei district, and over 200 members were elected at the meeting. A meeting of the central executive committee will be held in the Marton Jockey Club’s rooms at 7.45 p.m. next Monday, when delegates from all branches throughout the electorate will be present.
