BOUT AT ASHBURTON LES ADAMS BEATS CAREY. VICTORY ON POINTS. [Per Press Association) ASHBURTON, Oct. 6. Les Adams outpointed Bill Carey in a fifteen-round boxing contest at Rakaia last evening. Adams gained points with clean lefts in the first five rounds, Carey having the better of the in-fighting in the next three. Adams in the rest of the fight, was more aggressive by keeping in and making the fight.
BOUT AT NEW YORK McLARNIN BEATS CANZONERI Received Oct. 6, 10.30 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 5. McLarnin won a ten-round decision over Canzoneri to-night.
