REGULATIONS AMENDED NEW ORDER-IN-COUNCIL f Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, July 30. Amendments to free place regulations under the Education Act, 1914, are contained in an Order-in-Council gazetted to-night. They provide that a junior free place will be tenable at public postprimary school for two years and for three years in the case of a holder who is under thirteen years of age. Special provision is made for Maoris attending the Rotorua High School and the period of free place may be extended in special circumstances by the Minister of Education. Senior free places will be tenable until the end of the year in which the holder reached the age of nineteen years, and the Minister will have power to extend the period in special circumstances.
