A TOUR IN LONDON The N.Z. Way, of Marton, in a letter ? to the “Chronicle.” As the guests of I Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., they ■i visited the N.Z. Co-operative Dairy - Company’s butter-packing factory at t Camberwell, where they witnessed £ New Zealand butter handled in its D process from start to the packing of s the butter in I, i and lib. wrappers. The butter and cheese stores, and (wine vaults, at Hay’s Wharf, the .offices and sales floors of Amalgaj mated Dairies and Empire Dairies, I were also inspected. On one floor there were 20,000 tons of tea ready for the sales next week. The party were entertained at II luncheon at Hay's Wharf, at which 11 }\fr. Rupert Bare and Admiral Sir 1 Aubrey Smith attended. A splendid luncheon was served and the chaire man (Mr. Rupert Bare, extended a hearty welcome to the .tourists. Mr. A. E. Max (leader of the N.Z. party) 1 responded, stating that they were hav- - ing a wonderful time thanks to the courtesies extended to them wherever t they travelled. e After luncheon there was a cruise y on the St. Katharine down the 2 Thames to inspect the Port of London i Authority’s cheese stores at Surrey s Commercial Dock and then a tour of i the King George V. dock. At the con- : r elusion of the inspection afternoon tea ■ was served on the boat. I Mr. A. W. Mitchell, who was recently a member of the Wanganui s “Chronicle's” literary staff, accompanied the party as a member of the 1 N.Z. Associated Press in England.
