INFANT’S DEATH
HALF-CASTE MOTHER ARRESTED [ Per Press Association. ] TAUMARUNUI, Dec. 2. This afternoon a Chinese half-caste woman. Olive Cronin, aged 27, wife of D. K. You, lorry-driver, of Taumarunui, allegedly cut the throat of her two and a-half months old female child, with fatal results. It is alleged that an instrument known as a cleaver was used. The police called and took the woman into custody.
