The News-Chronicle’s Berlin correspondent says that Herr Hitler has ordered a new clean-up of the Nazi Party with a view to ridding the movement of men whose extravagant living has caused comment. It is asked how they are able to spend so recklessly when their incomes reputedly are so modest. The first victim is a prominent official, whom the secret police have seized.
