PRISONER ESCAPES
USED STOLEN CLOTHES GOT AWAYiIN A ’PLANE. BRISBANE, Aug. 6. A novel method was adopted by a prisoner, Arthur Charles Watson, aged 21, in escaping from Boggo Road gaol, Watson, who was employed as a hitches boy for the prison superintendent, eluded the guards in stolen clothes and went to Archerfield aerodrome, and there represented himself as the son of the superintendent. He took his seat in a ’plane for Toowoomba, and un« known to the authorities of that town he landed and disappeared, while tho police were still searching for him in Brisbane.
