DANCE AT MATAROA
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE The cc-wiuittee of the Women's Institute was responsible for a very successful and higbiy-enjoyable dance, which was held in the MatarOa Hair on Saturday night. Despite the indemency of the weather, a good crowd was present. Carrington’s Orchestra, which made a great bit at Alartou last week, played music which made the dancers leel as if they were under the tutelage of 81. Vitus. Messrs. J. Bteedman, CBennett and J. Pohe played extras. Air. W. 11. Gill proved himself a very capable and popular AI.C. A spot waiiz competition was won by Aliss Rampton and Air. McCulloch, while the competition for the cake was won by Miss 8. O’Shaughnessy. Among those present were: M’cs dames Gill, Ross, Garmonsway, Aitken, AicKec, Donald, Hunter, Evans and Taylor,’ Misses Gould, Hunter, Scott, Wards’ (2), Rampton, Livingstone (2), Coogan, McKay, Alillar, Alartin, McCarthy, Garmo-nsway, Gordon, Ross, O’Shaughnessy, Rae, lieliia, Winiata (3), Hopkinson, AlcKinnon, Schrader, Aloorc, Hanson, Smith, Evans and Steedman (2).
