WEDDING

KEITH—LANGSTON All Samis’ Church, Eltham, was filled with friends on Thursday afternoon, Juno 27. on the occasion «f the marriage of Kathleen Dorothy, daugUter of the Rev. and Airs. \\. Langston, the Vicarage, Eltham, to Kouald Gordon Layard, second sou of Canon ami Airs. A. L. Keith, Vicar of W unborn e, Dorsqf, England. The bride’s father performed the ceremony, which touk place in a beautitul floral setting. Airs. A. McWilliams and Alisses B. Pease and L. Slewart decorated the church with masses of shaded pink blooms, with c-rchids °n the altar. At the conclusion of the service, which was fully choral, Airs. J. A. Rankin sang W. H. Squires’ "My Prayer.” The bride, who was escorted by Mr. A. AlcWilliam, wore a charming gown of off-white leafed satin lightly emwith the palest pink. The bodice was of georgette, with cowl neckline, the sleeves being long amt cowled from the shoulder and finishing m points over the wrists, while the skirt was gracefully cut to form a long train. A coronet of orange blossom buds, with silver lame leaves secured her lovely hand-embroidered veil, an heirloom which had been sent from England and lent for the occasion. She earned a sheaf of palest pink and white flowers, with maidenhair fern. Aliss Dorothy Riddle, as bridesmaid, had chosen a classically-cut and trained frock of dusky pink lace, with winch was worn a chic hat of the same material, She carried a spray bouquet of shaded pink flowers and maidenhair fern. Wearing a frock of white georgette with pink velvet sash, little Audrey Carncross made an attractive flower girl. She also were a chaplet of rosebuds and she carried a floral basket of petals. Air. A. Keith, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and Messrs. D. May, J. Riddle, D. Langston were ushers. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to All Saints' Hall, where the itev. and Mrs. Langston held a draw-ing-room reception, Mrs. Langston wearing a becoming ensemble in navy georgette and lace, with white tor necklet and navy bat relieved with white, She held a bouquet of scarlet and flame-coloured flowers. When Air. and Airs. R. G. L. Keith left by car tor the south the latter was attired in a smart nigger brown model suit, over which was worn a fawn lambs’ wool top coat. Her hat and other accessories were of brown tunings. Among the many guests were Sir Walter and Lady Carncross, Mr. and Airs. H. K. Webb (Wellington), represening the bridegroom’s parents, Air. and Mrs. Ale Will, ams, Air. P. Keith (Kimbolton), brother of the bridegroom, Mr. A. Keith (Puniho), Mr. H. Leaver (Kangiwahia), Air. and Airs. P. Robinson (Alangaweka), Air, and Mrs. Richards (IStraliord), Mr. P. Weston (Mangaweka), Aliss E. Deroles ana Mrs. G. Gibb (Palmerston North), Air. and Airs. V. Riddle, Air. and Airs. C. Carncross, Aliss 8. Carncross, Air. ana Alis. D. May. In the evening the Rev. and Airs. Langston entertained the younger set at a very jolly party and dance.
