HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

SPECIAL DISPLAY Owing io the recent abnormal weather conditions the Wanganui Horticultural Society found it necessary to abandon its dahlia show fixed for February 27. The committee has decided to hold in its stead a special display and to adopt a modified schedule of classes. The display will be held in the rooms of the W.D.F.U., McGruer’s Buildings, Guyton Street, on Thursday, the 14th inst., and entries for the same close with the hon. secretary, Air. V. B. Willis, at noon to-morrow, the 13th inst. Admission to the display is free, but afternoon tea will be served during the afternoon at 6d per head. Schedules may be obtained from the local florists or from the secretary’s office.
