RIBBON PARADE

KENNEL CLUB AND TOY DOGS. SUCCESSFUL VENTURE. Over 80 dogs participated in the ribbon parade held by the Wanganui Ken nel Club and the Wanganui Toy Dog Club on Saturday afternoon, when there was a very satisfactory attendance of enthusiasts. The ladies’ committee provided a very enjoyable afternoon tea. The judges were:—Toy dogs, Mr. H. R. Jones; sporting dogs Air. J. Hutchison; non-sporting dogs, Mr. W. Thompson. The following are the awards:— Best Dog or Bitch in Parade.—Mr. H. Huwyler's Eidlewess Teresa; best opposite sex, Airs. Gillies’ Wee Jong. Best , Puppy Dog.—Master J, Hornby’s Toby, best puppy bitch, Mrs. Murnaue’s Teenie Wee. Best Toy Dog.—Airs. Gillies’ Wee Jong; best opposite sex, Airs. Murnane’s Anna May Wong. Best Sporting Dog. Air. H. Huwyler’s Eidlewess Teresa; .best opposite sex, Airs. Larking ’g Landguard Enthusiast. Best-Non-sporting IDog.—Mr. B. White’s Rex; best opposite sex, Air. R. Chandler’s Trixie. Best Terrier.—-Mrs. Watson’s Scottie; best opposite sex, Master J. Hornby’s Toby. Best Cared-for Dog.—Mrs. Gillies’ Pekingese Wee Jong. Three prizes were also awarded in the children’s classes.
