A statement that, the New Zealand Fruit Control Board has decided to take no action in regard to the Agricultural Amendment (Emergency) Bill was made by Mr. Ralph Paynter, chairman of the board, when speaking at a meeting of fruitgrowers in Hastings. “The board has decided to take no action,” said Mr. Paynter. “The Big Three will have wide powers, but it is quite possible that some alterations will bo made in the committee stages.
