GENERAL TO VISIT N.Z. ( Ter Press Association ). WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The Salvation Army headquarters announces that Genera] Evangeline Booth is expected to visit New Zealand. She is leaving Sydney on April 25 and will arrive at Auckland to attend a congress in Wellington on May 7. SELFDENIAL APPEAL. ( Per Press Association ). WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The total amount raised throughout New Zealand by the Salvation Army selfdenial appeal is £21.061, which is a little in advance of last year’s total. The chief secretary, Colonel Orsborn, making an announcement to this effect tonight, warmly thanked Salvationists and friends for the work they had done, and the gifts they had made, which would enable the Army to carry on its campaign.
