SYDNEY STUD SHEEP SALES
HIGH-PRICED MERINO RAM. TOP PRICE 1650 GUINEAS. Received July 27, 11.5 p.m. SIDNEY, July 27. At the stud sheep sales attractive catalogues of British breeds and Merino rams afforded plenty of variety at to-day's sales. Prices if anything were better than last year. Competition was keen for four Merino special stud rams rro.in the estate of Mr. L. F. Body, or Trangie, the highest price for which was 52d guineas, this group realising 1732 guineas. Dalgety’s Ltd. sold 34 Bolder Leicester stud rams on account of Mr. Donald Grant, Timaru, tne prices ranging from 6 to 26 guineas. Seven stud ewes brought 7 to 9 guineas. Mr. J. Guthrie’s Corriedale ranis fetched 9 to 16 guineas. Mr. A. Brunskill’s Border Leicester flock rams brought guineas. The demand for Corriedales was brisk but prices generally were low. Top prices to-day was 1650 guineas, paid for a Merino stud ram from Mr. Charles Mill’s Uardry Estate at Hay. Pens of Uardry stud rams were in kec* demand and made to 650 guineas.
