GENERAL NEWS. Bulls and Ohakea Miniature Rifle Clubs will fire Gliffe-Remington and AI.M.R.A. competition matches at Bulls this evening Air. W. K. Robertson has returned from Tokomaru Bay, and Air. A. Fookes, who has been relieving teller at the Bank of New South Wales, has returned to Palmerston North. Mr. D. Hillier, who returned last week from Wanganui Hospital, is making steady progress towards complete recovery. The Town Hall will be fully occupied this week, the Football Club Ball being held on Wednesday; the school euchre on Thursday; and pictures on Friday and Saturday, when George Arliss will be seen in “The Working Alan.” No efforts are being spared to make the anual Football Club Ball a great success. The ladies’ committee is preparing a sumptuous supper, and the men are busy making the dance floor perfect. Larkin’s full orchestra of seven players will provide the music, and patrons will be catered for right royallly on Wednesday night. Bulls Rugby forwards have proved this season that they can hold their own with any in the sub-union, and it is pleasing therefore to sec that XV. Bromley. L. Harper and N. James have been selected for the Pakehas against the Alaoris on Wednesday, while N. Barrell is a reserve. Governor, another Bulls senior has been picked to play for the Maoris. F.
