Jackson and Co., Ltd., report on their Wanganui sale as under:— The sheep entry comprised a full yarding of fats, which met with spirited "competition at prices in excess of late rates, export buyers n operating freely. A fairly largo yardk ing of cattle came forward. Fat s cattle were dull of sale, but several . nice pons of bullocks, on account of lt Mr E. A. Whiteman, of Kakatahi, sold . at full market rates. The Christmas double market was held at Addington to-day, when there was an excellent fat lamb sale. Store Sheep.—The entry was mainly , station wethers from Nelson and Marlborough. There was a good clearance at prices equal to last week’s. The rains stimulated interest. Values: For- ' ward crossbred wethers, I4s 9d to 16s 7d; ordinary halfbred, 12s to 14s; small and backward halfbred, 9s to Ils 6d (good 2-tooth); Romney ewes to 245; medium 4 and 6-tooth, to 21s 6d; ordinary four and six-tooth halfbred, to 18s 9d; sound-mouth ewes, 12s 4d to 15s; aged and failing mouth, 6s to 10s 6d; ewes and lambs (all counted), to I2s; forward store lambs, 15s to 16s 2d. Fat Lambs. —An entry of 2200 ol fair quality. Butchers dominated the 1 sale, buying steadily at 7$d —an advance of Is 6d a head and iu cases ' more. Values: Choppers. 30s to 48s 6d; baconers, 44s 6d to 51s 6d; heavy, 53s 6d to 56s 6d; average, 4d to 4|d. Porkers, 27s 6d to 32s 6d; heavy, 34s 6d to 39s 6d; extra to 425; average, 4s to 5Jd.
