CITRUS FRUITS

AUSTRALIAN IMPORTS. NEW ZEALAND EMBARGO. CANBERRA, May 18. A deputation from the Federal Citrus Council of Australia requested the Primo Minister to take immediate action to secure the removal of the embargo on citrus fruits to New Zealand, as the retention of that market ib very vital in view of the difficulty attendant upon the export to other markets, while the local markets are already overtaxed by this season’s output. The Prime Minister replied that the representations would receive immediate attention and the Government, would take the matter up again with New Zealand.
