« SURTAX DISABILITY. .NEGOTIATIONS FOR REMOVAL. OTTAWA, May 17. Canada ami Franco have opened negotiations for the removal of the surtax against Canadian goods entering the French Republic. The surtax is now 11 per cent, and is additional to the tariffs, because of the depreciated Canadian currency.
