EGMONT-WANGANUI HUNT. Ideal hunting weather prevailed for the hunt held at Whcnuakura crossroads by the Egmont-Wanganul Hunt Club last Wednesday. The sun was shining brightly, while a cooling breeze was blowing or the sea. The ground had dried considerably after all the rain and the going was nil that could be desired. The fences consisted of wire, and the majority were old ditch and bank gorse fences which had been well trimmed and made excellent jumping. There was a large crowd of followers, and only one fall Beyond a severe shaking to the rider no damage was done.
