WANGANUI EDUCATION AREA INSTRUCTOR’S REPORT. At yesterday’s meeting of the Wan* ganui Education Board the chief agricultural instructor (Air J. B. Hogg) reported as follow’: “General.—All schools, with the exception of those not to be visited, on the instruction of the senior inspector, have received their initial visit. All work is proceeding satisfactory. “Seeds, Tools, etc. —As per circular sent to all teachers, the board’s decision to temporarily discontinue supply has been and dealt with. Tools ar 0 generally in good supply. The economic position is clearly understood by all, and the provision of fertilisers, where previously recommended, has been suspended without undue detriment to the year’s work. In very necessitous cases the scheme has been revised. The provision of seeds will in most, and we hope al!, cases, be attended to by committee or local effort, so that, if teachers will play their part in doing »ll possible to provide the lew seeds necessary at each school, the arranged schemes will bo adhered to. “Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs.—Communication from th 0 Department of Agriculture re their inability to supply either instructors or transport (received May 21), was received when final judging had actually commenced, and so occasioned no little consternation. However, in consultation with the senior inspector, and aided by the offer of the board tq meet certain expenses, we decided to carry on and so not disappoint tho competitors at such late date. Arrangements are well iu hand to complete judging and a full report and our recommendations to board and department will be furnished uh earlv as possible.” The report was received.
