STRANGE KENTISH TRAGEDY BODIES OF THREE WOMEN (By Telegraph—Prtsb Association—Copyright) Decived June .14, 8.20 p.m. LONDON, June 14. A mysterious triple shooting tinged \ is revealed by the discovery of the bodies of two wijl-dressed women aged about 65 and <35, and a girl ol 15, at King’s Wood, near Challock Kent. No weapon was found. The bodies had evidently been dead for some hours. It is believed that they were killed and conveyed in a motor-car, being then dumped in the wood. VICTIMS IDENTIFIED POLICE USING BLOODHOUNDS Received June 14, 10.50 p.mLONDON, Juno 14. The Kentish tragedy victims are Mrs. Janie Swift, of “Ye Old Sports man’s Inn,” at Seasalter, near Whit stable, her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Tro mayno Stump, of “White Hart Inn,’ Wad hurst, Sussex, and Peggy, agC'-l 13, daughter of Mrs. Stem}). The police are using bloodhounds and are also searching for the car in which the trio left Wadhurst for Sea salter.
SUSPECT ARRESTED MAN WITH A RIFLE SEVERAL ROUNDS EXCHANGED Received June 15, 1.25 a.m. LONDON, Ju|ie 14. Police flying squads quickly tracked a man suspected of the Kent murders Tho cordon extended 60 miles. The suspect was seeu in an automobile. Later a policeman challenged a man carrying a rifle on the roadside near Pottersbar- The man immediately dropped on his stomach and fired. The policeman drew a revolver and both fired several rounds without result. While tho man was re-loading three policemen pounced on him from behind. It is believed that ho is a sol dier in the East Kent regiment who disappeared from Hythe, where h.c was doing a musketry course.
