The noted Australian and New Zealand liners, Demosthenes and Corin t hie have been sold to the shipbreakers in anticipation that tariffs will create a better market for British scrap metal. The Demosthenes, which is at present, laid up. realised £9520 and the Corinthic £10,250. Delivery will be made in Tanuarv on completion of the voyage from Now Zealand.
