Startling Statement
GANDHI AT LABOUR CLUB FIGHT FOR INDIAN LIBERTY [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received Oct. 13, 11.20 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 13. Mr. Gandhi made a startling statement in regard to the future of India at a Labour Club meeting under the presidency of Mr Henderson. "I would consider it nothing if we had to pay a million livds for our liberty,’* he said, “but whether it is one life or a million we have to pay, I am praying that it will be possible for a future historian to say that India fought and won her liberty without shedding human blood.”
