BULLS

ON THE RANGE There was a good attendance of members at the weekly shoot held on the Bulls M.R.C. range on Monday evening, and an interesting match was fired between teams selected by M. Ban'.s and R. Hart, tho former’s winning by 14 points. For the winners D. Lundy top-scored with 138 (including a possible). E. Broughton, who has not done much shooting this season showed that he had lost none of his ability by putting on 137. 8. Sharp’s 136 included a possible, and G. Murray (136), and P. Thorby (136) also fired well. Of those lower on the list, J. Robins put on a possible. R. Hart gave his side a good start with a fine brace of possibles, and was well supported by C. Broughton (one possible) and T. Pritchard (136), but the others were not brilliant. Detailed scores were as follows:

BULLS TENNIS CLUB The Bulls Tennis Club will open the 1931-2 season this afternoon. A progressive tournament will bo held, and it is expected tha' there will bo a large attendance of members and friends. BULLS CRICKET CLUB The work of laying down a cricket pitch is progressing well, though tho area may not be in playing condition for some time yet. The whole ground is to bo rolled, and mattin secured for matches in the meantime. Matches aro being arranged with Rangifiki Factory and Flock House teams, and it is probable that the membership of the Bulls Club will be large this season, thou t the standard of play docs not appear to bo much improved. DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB Tho Bulls Defence Rifle Club has been resuscitated, and a meeting of riflemen will bo held this evening to elect officers and to arrange for regular practices and matches. A working bee was engaged during the week-end repairing the targets and mounds, ami it is stated that, old and new members are very enthusiastic, and that a strong club will be formed here.
